I'm getting treatment for the depression. I started Efexor-XR yesterday and should get an actual working psychologist within next week.

I may not be in IH for a while. Anywhere from a few days to a month (before I go home). So IH folk, if you don't see me for a while, don't freak out. It's just getting too confusing staying there.

Mum may come down too.

Don't ask me about Mark because I can't give you a clear answer. Some hours I want to be with him and some hours I want nothing to do with him. I'm unstable already, I'm not in the position to make final decisions.

I may not be online for a while.

My boyfriend is taking Effexor as well. It seems to be working for him, though it has a bitch of withdrawal symptoms if he misses even one dose. :S

The "withdrawel symptoms" would probably have been the "norm" if medication never started; that is, every single day would have carried that experience without treatment. However, while the course isn't as short as say a week of antibiotics; it doesn't necessarily need to last for a lifetime either. Basically until things get settled, dosage will most likely be _gradually_ reduced and eventually finished. Think of it as a rope to haul oneself out of a hole rather than being handed a shovel. Eventually that rope will turn into a ladder.
