Whoa hello. Tis been a while.

I'm hardly on here except to comment - I haven't even followed my Friends list in a while. Sorry guys.

I do have quite a few more people who've found me online and are on LJ so I'll add you at least. I wish Newsgator/Feeddemon allowed me to add friends-only LJs to my feeds somehow.

Otherwise find me at TiaraShafiq.com or The Merch Girl.

Cancer patients have no say in their baldness - it's not there for them to approve of disapprove. It's a side effect of chemotherapy and there's nothing much you can do about it. We're all shaving heads to show our solidarity and support, especially in times like these where people put too much stock on looks.

My hair can always grow back. But not everyone can fight back cancer, and this fund helps them win.

The whole aim is to raise funds for cancer, so sponsoring me really is the best way. You could also help promote this to people you know, so that we can get more for cancer research.

I fully understand that, and if I was in any way disrespectful, I apologize. It is just that where I come from, baldness is more a sign of racism and hatred and as such I have my reservations. What you are doing is right, and I'm sorry that I can't do it myself.

Oh, I understand. It wasn't disrespectful. I just wanted to show the other side of the story. :)

thank you for that :) the other side of the story is always the more important one, because that's the one I still need to consider in full.
