adventures!

Hey everyone,

Suggest an adventure. Not necessarily the "swim at the Great Barrier Reef" types, though that's fine.

I'm more after stuff like "take a train and visit every city that starts with N". Wacky stuff like that. The weirder the better.

If you have any links to things like those, let me know. Feel free to ninja the idea and use the ideas for your adventures too :)

I've always wanted to pre-arrange for several people to board a bus or streetcar or something, but scattered between 3 or 4 different stops, all knowing each other but pretending not to at first... then one of them starts singing "Downtown" from Little Shop of Horrors, and all the other participants also sing their own parts. My fantasy life is bizarre, I admit, but I daydream about this scenario constantly.

Pick any two Australian movies (or movies set in Australia, your choice) and visit each of the locations in order seen in the movie. :P

There was a suggestion I remember reading once, back when I was young and into the fashionable magazines.

All you needed was a map, a coin, a cell phone, and transportation. At every intersection you came to, flip a coin -- heads you go right, tails you go left. Just do that all day. Get lost, enjoy the city. I always thought that was a fun idea...

Go to a different city (or different part of town if you are poor). Hop on a random bus. Get off at the end. Walk around. Take pictures of things. Make a scavenger hunt. (which is harder if you do not know the area/city)

Go to a restaurant that has no English menu. Order 3 or 4 (cheap) dishes and try them. (not for people who have massive food allergies)

Dress up as an aborigine (you could sort of pass as one) and go around asking for directions to fictional sacred sites. If you're met with blank stares, say something like "I'm looking for a waterhole"...
